Patrick T. Finn, CTP

Patrick is a results-orientated certified turnaround professional with more than seventeen years of experience in revitalizing under performing companies and improving profitability.

Patrick’s entrepreneurial experience enables him to quickly identify critical issues and recognize opportunities for improvement. He has extensive experience working with clients struggling through family business issues such as succession planning, conflict resolution and corporate governance. He also serves frequently as a court appointed Receiver and in executive-level management positions for distressed clients working through the turnaround and recovery process.

A representative sample of his engagements and experience include:

• Ten years as President/CEO of a manufacturer of plastic components and tooling servicing the medical and consumer electronics industries. Transformed an unprofitable, under-performing operation into a highly profitable industry leader.
• Served as court-appointed Receiver for a chain of hardware retailers and equipment rental stores. Stabilized cash flow and sold business achieving a 100% recovery for secured creditors.
• Managed wind-down and liquidation of a real estate developer. Satisfied all creditor claims and achieved a $4 million recovery for shareholders after completing construction and liquidation of $17.5 million in real estate holdings.
• Served as interim CFO for a manufacturer of automated testing equipment. Implemented financial controls and procedures to provide accurate job costing and timely financial reporting.
• Served as court-appointed Receiver for a $30 million manufacturer of modular office furniture. Managed business wind-down and liquidation achieving 100% recovery for primary secured creditor.
• Advised family-owned commercial printer in the development and implementation of a turnaround plan to improve cash flow and restore profitability.
• Re-engineered entire business process from sales order entry to cash collections for a medical device manufacturer. Outcomes included an 80% reduction in average order processing time.
• Restructured the sales organization and implemented solution-based selling techniques for a financially troubled manufacturing company. Positive results included a 50% increase in gross profit margin.

Patrick holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Carlson School of Management, a Bachelor of Arts in Entrepreneurship from the University of St. Thomas and is a CTP. He serves on the Board of Directors of Burnett Medical Center and is a former board member of Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College.
